“Lord, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof; but only say the word, and my servant will be healed.
Dear faithful members of this God protected vineyard of St. George,
Blessing to you on this first Sunday of July.
No one of us is worthy to enter the church and to be a member of the Body of Christ. We all come to church with the same approach as the centurion in this Sunday gospel and saying: Lord I am not worthy of you, but I depend on your mercy and forgiveness. Read this prayers that we Orthodox Christians say when we come to church:
Prayer on Entering the Church
I will come into thy house in the multitude of thy mercy: and in thy fear I will worship toward thy holy temple. Lead me, O Lord, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before me, that with a clear mind I may glorify thee forever, One Divine Power worshipped in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.
Prayer on Leaving a Church
Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word: for mine eyes have seen thy salvation, which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; a light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.
This coming Monday July 6th, I will be celebrating my 23rd anniversary of my ordination to the Holy Priesthood. I ask for your prayers for me. I thought it will be beneficial for you to know me a little by sharing few things.
