“Do not be amazed; you seek Jesus of Nazareth, Who was crucified. He has risen, He is not here”
Dear witnesses to Christ Resurrection, the members of St. George,
Christ is Risen. Truly He is Risen.
I would like to congratulate all the women the members of the Holy Myrrh-Bearing Women organization of our parish by greeting them Happy Feast Day.
On behalf of myself and the parish council, I would like to thank you for your generosity to all those who donated financially to support our church of St. George during this pandemic time during the month of April. Our work is not done, in order to continue to keep our doors open, please continue to support your church to fulfill its mission. You may donate through the e-transfer email or mail in your donation to the church address.
Here are the services for May: Wednesday May 13th at 7 PM, Vespers for Mid-Pentecost. Wednesday May 20th Vespers for St. Constantine and Helen Feast Day 7 PM. Wednesday May 27th Feast of the Ascension of our Lord, Orthros at 6:30 PM followed by the Divine Liturgy.
Father is having Adult Christian Education (Bibile Study) on zoom, the next get together is Tuesday May 12th at 7 PM.
Let us join the Myrrh-Bearing Women and hear the Angel says: Myrrh-oils are meet for the dead, but Christ hath proved to be a stranger to corruption. But cry out: The Lord is risen, granting to the world Great Mercy.
Let us have the same zeal of these Holy Women, let us have the same commitment like them to Christ. Let us have the same fearless faith like Joseph of Arimathea.
In the Risen Christ I remain,
